AMDG Video Series | AMDG: The Fuel of Faith Practices Feeding the Desire to Serve

The fifth and final video of the AMDG Series is now available on the IAJS YouTube Channel. This video brings together the full AMDG experience, from the program’s launch with a week-long gathering at Ever to Excel, through service work at home, to the silent retreat at Jesuit retreat houses, and finally the culmination: walking the Camino Ignaciano Pilgrimage in Spain.

As this series comes to a close, we’re deeply grateful to everyone who made it possible, especially the Participants, Beadles, and Ambassadors who welcomed us into their AMDG experience, our 25 participating Jesuit schools and parishes, our partners at Boston College and around the world, and our benefactors at the Lilly Endowment.

AMDG Video Series | The Pilgrim Journey on the Camino Ignaciano.

The fourth video of the 5-part AMDG Series is now available on the IAJS YouTube Channel. Walk alongside the John Carroll University cohort as they follow in the footsteps of St. Ignatius.

Ignatius used this journey to ask God about his identity, purpose, and mission; AMDG pilgrims reflected on the meaning and purpose of the past year and the fruitful desires that developed within them as they neared the end of the program.

Some 300 young people from across the country are participating in a BC pilot program that seeks to promote the renewal and expansion of Catholic faith practices with a yearlong immersion in faith exploration and service through Jesuit spirituality.

The program - AMDG - is being operated by the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies at Boston College and supported through a $10 million grant from Lilly Endowment, Inc. through its National Youth and Young Adult Initiative on Faith and Service.

The participants come from Boston College and 24 other Jesuit institutions—high schools, colleges/universities, and parishes—across 18 states.

“Though each participant has a different background and experience, what ties them together is an openness to Catholic belief and practice,” said AMDG Program Director William Healy.
