Arcadia Exhibitions organizes programming for four distinct spaces at Arcadia University throughout the calendar year.

A nationally recognized venue for contemporary art in the greater Philadelphia area, the Spruance Gallery is a 1,100-square-foot facility (housed in a 1893 power station) that has for over 30 years provided the region with a stimulating roster of individual and thematic exhibitions shaped by our mission to encourage dialogue among artists, educators, students and the general public about current v

isual art and its socio-cultural relevance. Along with bringing the work of previously unexhibited or unknown artists to our region, Arcadia Exhibitions is committed to local artists, actively encouraging innovative approaches to art production and acknowledging the contribution of long-standing, influential members of the art community. Educational programs invite the artists and highly respected scholars and curators to discuss each exhibition with the public.

This is the last weekend to view “Student Biennial 2026”. The exhibition will be on display through April 5, 2026. Thanks again to Gerard Silva, Director of Exhibitions and Community Outreach at for jurying such an interesting and diverse show, and to all of the students that participated in it.

Arcadia Exhibitions is pleased to present a lecture by artist Jackie Milad and guest curator Dr. Danielle O'Steen, in conjunction with “Jackie Milad: The Beat of My Heart (Nabd Qalbi)” on April 8, 2026 beginning at 6:00 PM in the Great Room, University Commons.

Immediately afterwards, beginning at 7:00 PM, there will be a book signing in the Spruance Gallery to celebrate the release of “Shabtis Gather,” a publication produced by the artist in collaboration with BmoreArt, which catalogs the research Milad undertook to generate the work presented in this exhibition. The signing will be accompanied by a reception with light refreshments. This event is free and open to the public.
