Good morning EESS Seniors and Happy Graduation Day!
We are so very proud of each and every one of you and all that you have accomplished during your 4 years with us!

The EESS Department has a tradition of meeting with Seniors once the graduation ceremony concludes for photos and conversations.

***If you are looking at the stage from the audience, we will meet on the left side of the stage this year***

Help the Animal Shelter - Sustainability Opportunity w/ Heller Service Corps

Every year in the fall, the Heller Service Corps host an event called “Pita and Paws” where they take used t-shirts and reuse them to make dog toys for the Humane Society. They are inviting all students to drop by the Heller office over the next few days to donate any old t-shirts they don’t want anymore as they move out, and they will use them for Pita and Paws next year!

Happy LDOC students and happy Dins Day 2026!

Dins Day is an opportunity for students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends to empower our students to be agents of inspiration, leadership, and change in their communities.

During this day of fundraising, you can made a donation specifically for the EESS Department that will allow us to continue to provide scholarships and research assistance for our majors.

Furman is once again running a "Top Fund Donor Challenge"!
The top five funds with the most *INDIVIDUAL* donors by midnight EDT will secure extra funding in the amounts outlined below:
First Place: $10,000
Second Place: $7,000
Third Place: $4,000
Fourth Place: $2,500
Fifth Place: $1,250

This year we supported 30 amazing EESS seniors through individualized research projects and the sustainability practicum. To help celebrate the successful completion of ALL their projects (and graduating our largest cohort to date!), our goal this year is to have 30 *unique* donors and to try to be one of the finalists for the Top Fund Donor Challenge.

If you are willing to donate, you can do so directly using the link below (this will take you to the Earth, Environmental, and Sustainability Sciences (EESS Special Needs Fund) page.

Thank you for your consideration!

Join me and make a gift during Dins Day 2026... Together for Furman Students!
