The Energize Project, hosted by Southeastern Louisiana University, is a Louisiana Department of Education initiative to strengthen Louisiana’s computer science education workforce. It prepares teachers for the Computer Science Praxis Exam (5652). The inaugural Spring 2024 "Energize 1.0" training equipped nearly 800 Louisiana public and public charter school teachers providing targeted preparation,
including practice tests, quizzes, exercises, and tutoring through five remote and in-person cohorts. Building on this success, the Spring 2025 Energize: Geaux for Launch G4L “Energize 2.0” training offers three cohorts—Virtual, Online, and In-Person— with the same support and interactivity from “Energize 1.0”. If interested, apply through the Energize website or follow us on social media. STAY TUNED for updates on future projects and initiatives! southeastern.edu/energize/
