Congratulations to Ithaca College’s Beta Alpha Psi Mu Alpha Chapter on earning international Gold Chapter recognition for the 2025–2026 academic year!

Our students have been hard at work both inside and outside the classroom, demonstrating an outstanding commitment to academic excellence, professional development, leadership, and community service.

From participating in the EY Case Competition at Cornell University to giving back through community meal preparation at the Presbyterian Church, tutoring, and helping World of Business students strengthen their Excel skills, our members continue to make a meaningful impact.

Under the exceptional leadership and guidance of Anu Charlot Goel Ghai, Ph.D. and Margaret Shackell, PhD, CMA, CPA (Ontario), CA, the chapter has achieved this prestigious international recognition—a testament to the dedication, hard work, and excellence of our students and faculty.

A special shoutout to Miguel Brand, Elias Raimondi-Elliot, Daphne Walsh, and Lily Slagel for their outstanding Project Run With It presentations!

We are proud to see our School of Business students putting their knowledge into action, supporting their communities, and representing Ithaca College on an international stage.

Take a look inside our newly renovated Trading Room! 📈💙💛

The Ithaca College School of Business has unveiled its newly renovated trading room, creating a more modern, collaborative, and interactive experiential learning environment for our students!

Home to our student-managed $1.5 million investment portfolio; the trading room has long provided students with valuable hands-on experience in financial analysis and investment decision-making.

The renovation takes this experience to the next level! The redesigned space features collaborative workstations centered around Bloomberg terminals, allowing faculty and student teams to work more closely together.

We are grateful to our alumni whose generous financial support made this transformation possible, continuing their investment in the next generation of business leaders!

The Ithaca College School of Business Trading Room has been redesigned to create a more collaborative, hands-on learning environment. Featuring Bloomberg terminals and collaborative workstations, the updated space gives students more opportunities to analyze financial data, exchange ideas, and explore investment strategies together while gaining experience in a setting that reflects the professional world of finance.

From the classroom to the excitement of sports marketing!

This summer, Cameron Wooten, a Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing and a member of the Class of 2027, gained hands-on experience as a Marketing and Entertainment Intern with Nashville Soccer Club!

In this role, Cameron worked behind the scenes creating budgets, managing project timelines through Trello, and organizing entertainer assets. On game days, he brought his skills to the stadium, supporting operations and coordinating the setup of entertainers to help create an exciting experience for fans.

The internship also gave Cameron valuable insight into workplace adaptability and how data can be used to make informed business decisions.
One of his favorite memories from the summer was cuing the referees and players to walk out of the tunnel for Nashville SC’s Leagues Cup match against Club León!

After being encouraged to explore opportunities with Nashville SC by an Ithaca College alum, Cameron ultimately discovered the position through Team Work Online, highlighting the value of both networking and actively seeking opportunities.

His advice to other business students looking for internships:

“Remain curious. Talk to people who have positions you may be interested in, ask them questions, have meaningful conversations, and build connections.”

We’re excited to see Cameron continue building on this experience as he develops his skills in marketing, entertainment, operations, and professional networking!

This summer, Myles McKenna, a junior Finance major, gained hands-on experience as a Logistics & Operations Financial Intern with Roosevelt Roads Insurance, specifically within its RICO branch.

In this role, Myles reviewed and verified claims documentation, ensured required evidence was complete and accurate, and uploaded materials into an AI-based fraud analysis platform used to identify potential inconsistencies and higher-risk claims.

The internship also gave him valuable exposure to commercial insurance, fraud investigations, and the day-to-day experience of working in a corporate office environment.

One of his favorite parts of the summer was traveling into the company’s main office near Grand Central and working with the team there.

His advice to other students looking for internships:

“Really utilize the people you know. Sometimes people are hesitant to pursue opportunities through family friends or personal connections, but networking can be one of the best ways to find your path and discover opportunities you may not have found otherwise.”

We’re excited to see Myles continue building on this experience as he develops his skills in finance, operations, insurance, and professional networking!
