A huge thank you to Jenny Weil Malatras '02 for a fantastic ending to the Talks at Twelve for 2025-26 academic year. Describing the work being done by Cornell University Cooperative Extension New York City is inspiring but you truly showcased the people delivering the work which is what helps CUCE-NYC make an impact across the city.

Celebrate the BCTR's 15th anniversary during Reunion Weekend with a talk by Karl Pillemer on "Climate Change in an Aging World," followed by refreshments and a chance to connect with BCTR faculty and staff. It's a reunion in every sense: of ideas, of community, and of the work that brought us all together.

Older adults are among the most vulnerable to climate change — and among the most overlooked in our response to it.

Join us at Cornell Reunion Weekend for a talk by Karl Pillemerwho will share why older adults are both uniquely vulnerable to climate-related crises and a powerful, underutilized force for change.

We're also celebrating our 15th anniversary. You'll be able to share with us your memories of Urie Bronfrenbrenner and the BCTR.

New York State 4-H Camp Owahta is turning last year's fire that destroyed its arts and crafts building into an opportunity. The 75-year-old camp serves more than 400 campers aged 5 to 15 from Tompkins, Cortland, and Broome counties, offering day and overnight sessions with outdoor play, a ropes course, and nature exploration across its 128-acre forested site. Students at Cornell's College of Architecture, Art, and Planning are reimagining designs for the camp to match the needs of campers while enhancing its integration with the surrounding forest.

After Camp Owahta’s arts and crafts building burned down last summer, the Cortland County camp’s leadership turned to second-year architecture students for fresh ideas.
