What does it mean to go beyond borders? 🌍

During her lecture, “Beyond Borders: How Global Experiences Shape Student Stories,” Nicoletta Peluffo, Ph.D., new director of Kent State Florence shared how studying abroad can transform more than a student's academic experience. From building confidence and curiosity to developing humility, embracing new perspectives and forming lifelong connections, global experiences shape who we become and how we see the world.

Hosted by the College of Honors and Global Education on Wed., Oct. 28, the discussion highlighted the lasting impact of experiencing life beyond familiar borders — and the stories that stay with us long after we return home. 💙💛

Join the College of Honors and Global Education for ‘BEYOND BORDERS: How Global Experiences Shape Student Stories,' on Wed., Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. in the Honors Education Library (Lower level, Stopher Hall). Hear insights from Kent State Florence director, Nicoletta Peluffo, Ph.D and learn how spending a semester in Italy broadens students’ perspectives and enables them to share and shape stories that transcend cultural boundaries! Studying abroad is a transformative journey that changes the way students communicate, builds their resilience and improves their ability to share those unique experiences with others.

This event is open to students of all majors, staff and faculty. No registration required.
