Looking for a museum exhibit that also scratches the October spooky itch? 👀 Look no further than the NYU Institute for the Study of the Ancient World's "Cursed! The Power of Magic in the Ancient World." The exhibit, which examines the central role of magic in ancient societies, features some 50 works in a variety of media including sculpture in stone and bronze; decorated ceramics; amulets in semiprecious stones, gold, and silver; and papyrus scrolls—with many on loan from national and international institutions.

Doctoral candidate Leopoldo Fox-Zampiccoli gave us a preview of the exhibit and highlight a few key elements you can see on view until December 13. Read on at the link in our bio!

“NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is the 12th-highest-ranked undergraduate program in the nation. Hospitals want to hire our nurses faster than we can train them, and New York faces a projected deficit of 40,000 nurses by 2030,” writes President Linda G. Mills in the The Washington Post today. One possible solution? A three-year nursing degree that gets well-trained grads into the workforce sooner.

We're proud to announce that NYU has doubled our financial support for NYC's best green space by pledging $6 million over four years to its nonprofit steward, the Washington Square Park Conservancy. 💜

"It's a space that NYU students, faculty, families, and visitors all gather, and it's a really fantastic, dynamic public space,” said Arlene Peralta, the assistant vice president of community engagement at NYU who also serves on the board of directors of the Washington Square Park Conservancy. “We're just thrilled that we can continue that partnership, both with the Parks Department and the Conservancy, and work with them as stewards of this gift."
