We made a last-minute decision to head out once the weather cleared. I’m so glad we did; we were able to provide a meal to many of the people passing by. It's humbling to realize that for some of them, it might have been their only meal of the day. So grateful for the work we do together with I Believe In Miracles and Fall Back Mode.

🚨 BIG NEWS FOR COLLEGE-BOUND STUDENTS PrivateColle In NY State! 🚨
The Enhanced Tuition Awards (ETA) Scholarship is officially OPEN! If you are planning to attend a participating private college in New York State, this is your chance to secure up to $6,000 in tuition assistance.
Here is what you need to know:
The Eligibility: Available for students from families earning $125,000 or less.
The Deadline: Applications must be submitted by August 31, 2026.
Where to Apply: Get all the details and start your application at hesc.ny.gov/eta

It is not too late! If you haven't done so yet, your very first step to unlocking this funding (and making college affordable) is completing your FAFSA and TAP applications. Don't wait until the last minute—let's get those financial aid steps checked off the list!

Because of your generosity, our 4th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon was a beautiful, overwhelming success. We truly could not have done this without you.

Thanks to your belief in our mission, we were able to honor 125 beautiful mothers and make them feel incredibly special.
It was a day we won't soon forget: There were tears of healing and joy. There was endless laughter and celebration. Best of all, new villages of support and caring were formed right before our eyes. These moms walked in as individuals and walked out with a community.
You didn’t just help fund an event; you helped build a lifeline of love and connection for mothers who needed it most.

​Whether you’re just starting to look at colleges or you're officially packing your bags for freshman year, this summer is a critical window to get your financial ducks in a row.
​Here are your Two Summer Action Plans:
​ Plan 1: For Rising High School Juniors
​Goal: Preparation and Scouting
​For Parents: * Start with Net Price: Use 2–3 colleges' Net Price Calculators to get a realistic estimate of actual costs.
​Tax Strategy: Plan around the Prior-Prior tax year. Your 2026 returns matter for future aid!
​For Students: * Build Scholarship Momentum: Join RaiseMe to start earning micro-scholarships for your real achievements.
​Go Local: Hunt for local scholarships from community groups and credit unions where competition is lower.

Ready to make this summer count?

The Manhattan EOC YouthBuild Program is now recruiting young people ages 17 to 24 who are not currently enrolled in high school and are ready to take the next step toward their future.

This is a great opportunity for any young person who may be interested in construction, or is still figuring out their next move but wants to build real skills in a supportive program.

Through Manhattan EOC YouthBuild, participants can:

✅ Work toward their HSE diploma
✅ Take HSE testing on site at Manhattan EOC
✅ Earn construction certifications for free
✅ Receive hands on construction training
✅ Get MetroCards and quarterly stipends
✅ Build job readiness skills and prepare for work

You do not have to have everything figured out. You just have to be ready to start !

Summer Cohort starts June 2026.

Apply before June 12, 2026.

There’s nothing quite like the magic of a community coming together to honor the women who truly do it all. We are still glowing from the 4th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon, hosted by I Believe In Miracles and The Village NY.

From the first chord of music to the very last raffle prize, the day was overflowing with "good vibes" and deep appreciation for the incredible moms in our lives. This is a recap of the laughter shared, the delicious food enjoyed, and the beautiful memories we made together.
