Attention wood workers, metal enthusiasts, and crafty people . . . in the next month (or so) UMaine will be making these items available (probably at $1 ea). There are 4 items pictured which were used for lofting beds, but are no longer used. Pictured left to right: End 38" W x 24" T, posts 1.5" thick, slats 1" thick; Rail 57" W x 16" tall x 1" thick; Steel rail 6'8" L, 2" T x 1" thick; ladder 58" T x 14" W x 3" deep. There is a yardstick leaning against the rail for scale. All of the wood is solid and beautiful. Is anyone interested??? If so, like this post, comment below or email us @ [email protected] so we can make sure you know about the sale plan. We have hundreds of each of these and are making a list of the buildings where we are going to find them.

Finally! We are almost done with the Clean Sweep program, and the BBE will re-open next week. For next week only we will be here Wednesday and Friday. After that regular hours will be Wednesday and Thursday (both noon to 4:00 pm), and every other Saturday 9-12. REMEMBER, current students MUST be registered for either summer or fall classes to be eligible. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please double check your account before you come over. New students will be eligible on their first day of classes. Happy Summer!!

Wow. Just wow. Thank you to everyone who came today. Definitely over 500 people to start. The initial checkout line was horrible but you stuck it out. We sold A LOT but there is still stuff left. Short dressers, tables, chairs, clothes, bedding, books, random stuff and more. I did not have the energy to take pictures of make lists. Thank you to my crew of students who worked incredibly hard and the incredible staff who jumped in to help. Special thanks to Megan Carter, CLAS Advising Center. She was a rock star and answered my cry for help yesterday and even brought some co-workers. Would not have made it through today without you. Hope to see more folks tomorrow. 8-12!!

So much more information. We are still finishing up pricing and moving some things around. There is also a possibility that new things will arrive in the morning. This is a lot to organize!! I will try to list some of the prices here. I can't remember them all, and this is definitely not everything. Don't forget that the Bear Bites Food Truck will be outside of the Alfond tomorrow. We are very excited to see all of your smiling faces and make this a huge success!

More information! We accept cash, credit and debit - no personal checks. We have priced so many things and we have some items priced as a group (comforters, rugs, clothes, mirrors, etc.). There are signs all over. This video explains how our BIG item system works - stuff you can’t carry with you. Prices are firm on Friday. Negotiations will be allowed on Saturday.

Know a tech hobbyist?? (Not sure that is really a word) All of this has been donated by Hackerspace. Older items mostly available for parts. Most of the monitors work but would need adapters to be used with current systems. ALL AVAILABLE FREE at the Clean Sweep Sale this weekend!!
