In honor of Memorial Day, Owens Community College will be closed as we take time to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are deeply grateful to all members of the military, past and present, for their courage, dedication, and sacrifice.​

TWO diplomas. ONE incredible student. ​

Meet Grace Gilsdorf! This May, Grace will walk across the stage not once — but twice — earning both her high school diploma from Springfield High School and her associate degree in Environmental Science from . ​

Grace started her College Credit Plus journey with just one online class before her sophomore year … and the rest is history. By her junior year, she was all in, taking four CCP courses and discovering a passion for environmental science that's now shaping her entire future. And the best part? Every single class was FREE. ​

Thanks to CCP, Grace is heading to Bowling Green State University with so many credits that she'll finish her bachelor's degree in less than three years. Talk about a head start! From Owens to the world, we are so proud of you, Grace! You turned one free class into a college degree, and that is the definition of making the most of every opportunity!​

Did you know? In Spring 2018, the Owens Community College Findlay-area Campus became the 36th educational institution in the nation to be certified as an affiliate of the Bee Campus USA program — and the first in the state of Ohio! 🌎💛​

The Bee Campus USA program helps raise awareness about the important role pollinators play in our communities and encourages everyone to help create healthy habitats for bees and other pollinators. 🌱🐝​

Four students. Four very different paths. One thing in common — they all found their way at Owens. 🎓​
Nicholas Genzman, a self-described "not a school person," is graduating with his Associate of Science in Computer Systems Technologies and Support as an outstanding graduate. Zackary DeKryger, who leaned on the memory of his grandfather and the support of his girlfriend to push through, is graduating with his Associate of Science in Caterpillar Dealer Services Technician — also as an outstanding graduate. Grace Gilsdorf, a College Credit Plus student who earned her associate degree before receiving her high school diploma, is graduating with her Associate of Environmental Science as the School of STEM outstanding graduate. And Landon Amstutz, a student-athlete who balanced a 4.0 GPA and a .459 batting average with a welding degree, is graduating as the program's outstanding graduate.​
