Olo Security began when Sahiti Dasari, M&T'29, then a cybersecurity intern, saw how quickly employees at enterprise companies were adopting generative AI at work and how little visibility security teams had into what data was leaving with it.
This summer, Sahiti built Olo full-time in San Francisco. Olo's real-time governance layer classifies and redacts sensitive data on the device before it reaches generative AI or agentic tooling, so companies can adopt AI without surveilling their employees. After hundreds of conversations with CISOs, CIOs, and founders, including validation from security leaders at Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceX, and Jane Street, Olo now runs paid pilots in healthtech and fintech, has a signed design partnership with a large enterprise, and has completed tens of thousands of redactions across user devices.
The M&T Program's blend of engineering and business gave Sahiti the tools to move from a research thesis about how people actually use AI at work to a shipped product with paying customers. Along the way, Sahiti raised five figures in non-dilutive funding, including from the selective M&T Summer Entrepreneurship Award.
To round out the summer, Sahiti was selected as one of eight founding teams at the FoundHer House and demoed Olo to industry leaders at the FoundHer House x OpenAI Summit, the largest community event held at OpenAI headquarters to date.
