Welcoming Christian R. Burset to Penn Carey Law as Professor of Law, beginning this summer.

A leading voice in legal history and public law, Burset’s scholarship examines the evolution of common law in the British Empire and the early United States, as well as its implications for public law today—engaging both originalists and the broader field.

We look forward to the contributions he will bring to our community in legal history and interdisciplinary scholarship.
