One of the largest K-pop dance events on the East Coast was recently held at Drexel! The “K-POP Dance Championship Across the Original 13 States” was sponsored in partnership with the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Philadelphia.

Designed to promote global cultural exchange and the spread of Korean popular culture, the event also carried symbolic significance by commemorating America’s 250th anniversary while strengthening cultural ties between Korea and the United States.

Tarika Aggarwal, BS/MS communications ’18, is the task lead for strategic communications and engagements at the nonprofit corporation ANSER.

Kelsey Dale, BS psychology ’15, is the co-founder and CEO of the strategy consulting business Fair Future.

Viren Doshi, BS biological sciences ’10, JD ’16, MPH ’16 is a corporate counsel and compliance officer at Silver Cross Health System.

Join poet and author Lynn Levin at the Drexel Writing Festival!

Called one of the most “poignantly witty voices of our time,” Lynn is the author of nine books, most recently the short story collection House Parties. Lynn's poems and essays appear widely. She is a recipient of the Drexel Adjunct Award for Teaching Excellence.

Drexel’s Main Building filled with young, curious, creative and motivated student writers for three days this April.

The College of Arts and Sciences hosted a series of writing workshops for local high school students as part of this year’s Drexel Writing Festival. Over 300 students participated in these immersive days of writing and discovery.

The fast-paced, hands-on workshops were designed to get students writing boldly and thoughtfully from the moment they arrived on campus. Led by expert Drexel faculty members and student facilitators from the English program, these interactive sessions challenged students to experiment across genres — including fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry — while receiving meaningful feedback and mentorship along the way.

Join novelist and poet Moriel Rothman-Zecher at the Drexel Writing Festival!

Moriel is the author of two novels, Before All the World and Sadness Is a White Bird, and the poetry collection, I Still Won’t Have Known (forthcoming from BOA Editions).

Moriel teaches at Swarthmore College and is also a member of the faculty of the Bennington Writing Seminars’ MFA Program.
