The Master of Business & Science (MBS) degree combines advanced STEM-based courses with applied business courses, experiential learning, and extensive networking opportunities thanks to our long-standing academic-industry partnerships. Our programs are flexible and customizable to fit students’ individual career goals and can be taken either part-time or full-time.

Looking for an on-campus opportunity to gain some experience in the Rutgers Makerspace?

The Rutgers Makerspace, in partnership with the Rutgers Master of Business and Science (MBS) degree, is excited to announce the MBS Externship Makerspace program.

This 3-credit course allows students to work in small teams with Makerspace business members to complete hands-on, real-world projects in CAD, 3D printing/fabrication, electronics, or textiles. This is open to students from all Rutgers Master of Business and Science concentrations and undergraduates. All externship projects are unpaid, semester-long opportunities.

This summer, Rutgers students traveled to Taiwan for an immersive, 11-day learning experience through the Rutgers-Taiwan: Engineering Management in High-Tech Industries program.

From visiting world-class semiconductor companies to engaging with industry leaders and exploring Taiwan, students gained firsthand insights into the intersection of engineering, innovation, and business strategy.

The program returns in Summer 2027!

As part of the America at 250 lecture series, MBS students heard directly from current and former federal magistrate judges, exploring topics ranging from intellectual property and pharmaceutical litigation to artificial intelligence and scientific evidence.
