Visit the Library Gallery to see a photo-essay exhibition that shines a spotlight on the pioneering Hmong women who served as frontline nurses in Laos during America’s Secret War, honoring their sacrifices while documenting the origins and evolution of the Hmong ethnic healthcare workforce. We are excited to host this travelling exhibit from the Hmong Nurses Association ssociation, co-sponsored by the One Read for Racial Justice and St. Catherine University - School of Nursing!

Looking to add a little mystery to your Halloween countdown? We have tarot decks available for checkout right at the front desk! Whether you're brewing up creative inspiration, sharing a reading with a friend, or looking for a cozy, festive study break, we’ve got a deck for you.
🔮Decks are available for in-library use only and can be checked out for up to 3 hours at a time. Stop by the desk, pick your deck, and find a cozy corner in the library to see what the cards reveal! ✨

The weather is cooling down (kind of), the leaves are falling, and it’s halfway through the semester already! The library will be closed for Fall Break today, Friday, October 23, 2026 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. Enjoy a cozy drink or treat, and we’ll be here when you’re ready to come back.

Banned Books Week 2026, taking place October 4-10, is a time to celebrate the freedom to read and the importance of protecting access to diverse and often controversial literature.
On October 8th, 2026 from 11:30AM to 1:00 PM, join the St. Kate’s librarians for a special Banned Books Week event outside the library in the CdC!
