Join Metro State’s College of Liberal Arts for a TAR Talk (Teaching, Academic, and Research) with Dr. Kristen Lillvis on Tuesday, January 27 from 4:30–5:30 p.m.

In this interactive session, participants will explore a text-focused approach to digital humanities—examining digital and born-digital texts and learning how digital tools can be used to analyze and engage with them. The workshop is welcoming to those new to digital humanities, while also offering meaningful insights and hands-on practice for participants with more experience.

Step into a story carried across continents and generations. 🌌 Metro State’s College of Liberal Arts invites you to experience Dawn Wing’s debut of "There is No Time Here," a visual poetry tribute to Jun Fujita—a pioneering Japanese American poet-photographer whose quiet footprints helped shape Minnesota’s Northwoods.

On the anniversary of Fujita’s birth, Dawn will share the creative path that led her to places important to Fujita's life from Hiroshima to Rainy Lake, weaving field notes, imagery, and poetry into a moving portrait of resilience, migration, and artistic legacy.
