Recent management graduate Alyssa Cantu ,'26 completed an internship this summer at H-E-B. She was one of only 245 interns chosen from over 8,000 applicants. Alyssa worked in the manufacturing, warehouse and transportation department.

Alvarez faculty member Arka Roy was awarded a $250,000 grant to improve AI-powered radiation therapy for cancer patients.

“This project aims to make AI-guided radiation therapy safer and more reliable, especially for patients treated in clinics with limited resources. We will then use this information to create robust treatment plans that remain safe even when the AI-generated outlines are imperfect,” said Roy.
