👻 The Humanities Center Student Board (HCSB) brings back a favorite event - Blind Date with a Book. This is one blind date that you won't want to ghost! 👻

The HCSB will be setting up a table outside of Saints Tekakwitha and Serra Hall on THURSDAY during Torero Hours. But make sure to arrive early as books run out quickly! 📘

Join us for a Día de Mu***os celebration honoring the lives, journeys, and memories of migrants and their families. 🌼🕯️

Enjoy an opening ceremony, pan de mu**to and chocolate, and a candlelight procession as we come together to remember, honor, and celebrate the lives and stories carried across borders.

Nathaniel Philbrick is a beloved American historian and New York Times bestselling author. He is the winner of the National Book Award for Nonfiction, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize, and recipient of the prestigious George Washington Book Prize. We were honored to have USD's Professor of History, Michael Gonzalez, PhD, interview Philbrick to discuss his latest novel, The Rush: California Gold, the Civil War, and the Making of the Modern World.

The College of Arts and Sciences and Humanities Center are proud to partner with Warwick's of La Jolla to bring such a wonderful scholar and author to campus!
