San Francisco State University President Lynn Mahoney announced that she will retire next summer after nine years leading the University and 19 years of service to The California State University Mahoney will continue to serve as president while the CSU Board of Trustees conducts a national search for her successor.

“It has been an honor to serve the CSU and the greatest honor to serve as your president,” Mahoney shared in a message to the campus community. President Mahoney will continue to lead SFSU through the academic year as the University expands career pathways for students and prepares for its next chapter.
