After being crowned Miss Florida, University of South Florida senior Alexandra de Roos is preparing to compete for the Miss America title, using the national stage to advocate for traumatic brain injury awareness and recovery.

Alexandra’s own experience with a traumatic brain injury inspired her to become an advocate for others affected by concussion and TBI. As a psychology student on the pre-medical track, she is pursuing her passion for brain health and a future career in neuropsychiatry.

We’re proud to cheer on Alexandra as she represents Florida at Miss America and continues to use her platform to bring greater visibility to brain injury awareness.

Congratulations, Alexandra, and best of luck! 💚
