Founded in 1964 by educational visionary and activist Audrey Cohen, more than 12,000 alumni have earned degrees from Metropolitan College of New York. Our unique Purpose-Centered Education model helps students learn by blending theory, and real-world practice, all within the lens of social justice. MCNY is an accredited, not-for-profit college, with two campuses, one located in lower Manhattan and

another in the Bronx. Undergraduate and graduate programs are offered through three schools: the Audrey Cohen School for Human Services and Education, the School for Business, and the School for Public Affairs and Administration.

There is nothing quite like the way Brooklyn celebrates on Labor Day. The music, the food, the colors, and, most of all, the people bring Eastern Parkway and the surrounding neighborhoods to life.

Today, we celebrate the many nations, islands, and territories that make up our West Indian and Caribbean communities:

Anguilla • Antigua and Barbuda • Aruba • The Bahamas • Barbados • Belize • Bonaire • British Virgin Islands • Cayman Islands • Cuba • Curaçao • Dominica • Dominican Republic • French Guiana • Grenada • Guadeloupe • Guyana • Haiti • Jamaica • Martinique • Montserrat • Puerto Rico • Saba • Saint Barthélemy • Saint Kitts and Nevis • Saint Lucia • Saint Martin • Saint Vincent and the Grenadines • Sint Eustatius • Sint Maarten • Suriname • Trinidad and Tobago • Turks and Caicos Islands • U.S. Virgin Islands: St. Croix, St. John, St. Thomas and Water Island

Happy Labor Day! Brooklyn is celebrating you today!
