We’d like to rally behind one of our brothers, Johnny Cerruti, and a cause that has become especially meaningful to him and our chapter.
One of Johnny’s closest friends from high school, Grant, is currently battling cancer and Johnny is using this weekend’s IRONMAN Chattanooga to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
If you’d like to support the cause, the St. Jude fundraiser is linked in our bio.
We’ll also be hosting Putts for St. Jude tomorrow, September 23, at the Engineering Mall South Lawn, with all proceeds supporting St. Jude through the fundraiser.
Here’s a message from Johnny:
Additionally, we will be hosting an event tomorrow at the the Engineering Mall South lawn (Putts for St. Jude) and all the profits will go directly to Johnny’s page supporting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Here’s a message from Johnny:
Over the past year, one of my best friends from high school, Grant, a student at the University of Alabama, has shown me what true resilience and perseverance look like while battling a grade 4 cancerous tumor of the central nervous system affecting his spinal cord. Even while continuing treatment, he has fought to return to school, be around his friends, and keep moving forward, leaning even deeper into his faith through it all. Watching Grant meet something unimaginably difficult with such positivity, courage, and determination has inspired so many around him, myself included, and shown me what real strength looks like. I want to use the 140.6 miles of IRONMAN Chattanooga to raise money for St. Jude, and I’m incredibly grateful that SAE is supporting the cause with Putts for St. Jude on September 23 at the Engineering Fountain. St. Jude has played a major role in Grant’s treatment and continues to support kids and young adults fighting cancer every day.
