DA-Philippine Rice Research Institute Los Baños is looking for qualified applicants for the Science Research Analyst position under Contract of Service status.

With supervision and guidance from the immediate supervisor,
reporting to the RCEF Coordinator and SSGCA Focal performs
the following functions for the Rice Competitiveness and
Enhancement Fund (RCEF):

A. Strengthening of Seed Growers Cooperatives and
Association (50%)
1. Help to facilitate integration of RCEF seed delivery targets
timelines to match with the seed production plan of the SGC/As.
2. Assist in the coordination with SGC/As on RS supply from
PhilRice and/or other allowed sources
3. Conduct field monitoring of production areas of random seed
growers based on set target, to assess compliance on minimum
requirements for SGs.
4. Conduct random monitoring and inspection of SGCAs and
individual SGs’ production and post-harvest equipment and
facilities.
5. Report weekly progress of SGC/A’s CS production to the
SSGCA Focal;
6. Assist the capacity building of SGCAs to produce highquality
seeds through targeted training in coordination with BPI-NSQCS.

B. Seed Delivery (Seed Inspections) (40%)
7. Conduct pre-inspection of designated LGU DOPs prior to seed
delivery to ensure accessibility and safety of seeds.
8. Conduct thorough inspections of seeds delivered from seed
growers at designated drop-off points, ensuring conformance to
RCEF guidelines and NSQCS standards.
9. Submit detailed inspection documents within the prescribed
period to ensure timely reporting and compliance with regulatory
requirements.
10. Maintain a comprehensive database or logbook of all
inspections conducted, providing a valuable reference for future
management decisions and continuous improvement.
11. Maintain close coordination with PC or RC in the assigned area
of inspection.

C. Other Duties and Responsibilities (10%)
12. Assist in the crossmatching of farmer-beneficiary profiles on
the Farmer Acknowledgement Receipt and Rice Seed Monitoring
System.
13. Assist in monitoring of the RCEF Varietal Field Trial (VFT)
Project, when needed;
14. Assist in the establishment and monitoring of MOET study
when needed;
15. Participate in institute activities and attend other functions as
requested by higher authority, contributing to the overall goals and
objectives of the organization.
16. Comply with rules, IMS policy, procedures, programs and
project of PhilRice.
