Meet Stefani! Stefani is a rising Sophomore who is exploring the majors at Emmanuel.

Stefani is currently interning at The Food Project, a Boston nonprofit, as a participant in our Professional Pathways Program.

“I applied to The Food Project because of its commitment to food justice and youth empowerment. I wanted to gain hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful community work.

This connects to my long-term goal of becoming an OB/GYN who advocates for equitable access to nutrition and care.”

Meet Reilly! Reilly is a rising Senior majoring in Political Science.

She is currently interning at Boston Debate League, a local nonprofit, as a participant in our Professional Pathways Program.

“I’m interning as an External Affairs/Programs Intern. Debate teaches students very important skills, and the way that BDL promotes their league to minority students is what interested me in their program.

Through this internship, I hope to further understand the economics behind nonprofits.”

Meet Caitlin! Caitlin is rising Senior majoring in English, Writing + Communication.

She is currently interning at 826 Boston, a local nonprofit, as a participant in our Professional Pathways Program.

“I’m interning at 826 Boston as a College Essay Workshop Intern. I think everyone deserves someone who can guide them through the process and provide positive feedback.

I wanted to know if education was the right path for me, and being able to explore it without committing to it as my major has been great.”

The McCafferty Career Center Hosts a Celebration of Collaboration!

Last Wednesday, June 11, we hosted the 2nd Annual Employer Appreciation Reception. We invited all Emmanuel employer partners to attend, whether they hosted interns, attended a career event on campus, or recruited students for industry-based programs.

Emmanuel departments and members from 16 different organizations were welcomed by Career Center Executive Director Maureen Ashburn, heard remarks from President Ross, enjoyed light refreshments, and even entered Fenway restaurant gift card raffles.

Organizations in attendance included Boston Public Schools, MA Women’s Political Caucus, CohnReznick, and Brigham & Women’s Hospital, among others. Thank you to all who attended!
