ASILI - the black student alliance at Fordham, is a lot more than a club, we're a family. We assume responsibilities for academic and cultural representation of underrepresented students at Fordham, however we invite everyone from all sides of the spectrum to become a member. We're diverse, always welcome new members and host unforgettable events. If you're interested in expanding your cultural horizons through great events and discussions, with great people who know how to have a good time, then ASILI is for you.

Bring your unpopular opinions and come ready to debate, laugh, and discuss some of today’s most controversial topics. Bring your boldest takes, and come ready to challenge the room!

🌎🍽️ ASILI is excited to announce the return of our biggest event of the semester, Taste the World! Join us on Friday, November 13th at 6:30 PM in Lombardi Field House for a night filled with delicious food, cultural performances, and fun! We’ll have food catered from restaurants across the Bronx, along with performances from some of Fordham’s talented student groups! 🎶🌍

Tickets are just $5 and can be purchased through University Tickets using the link in our Instagram bio. This event is open to all students, so bring your friends, come hungry, and get ready to experience a taste of cultures from around the world! 🍜🥟🌮

This week’s meeting topic is “Battle of the Black Movies”! From the classics we grew up watching to newer favorites, we’re diving into the stories, characters, and moments that have shaped Black cinema. We’ll put movies head to head, debate your picks, and vote our way toward crowning the best Black movie of all time. Come ready to defend your favorites, share a few laughs, and see which film takes the title!

Come ready to defend your favorites, and leave with a new perspective or a few songs to add to your playlist!

We’ll start honest conversations about the Black student experience at Fordham, from navigating classroom dynamics and professors, to managing micro-aggressions, code-switching, and finding your community. ASILI is bringing back a classic with a new twist: “The Culture Check: Jeopardy”! Test your knowledge of Black music, TV, food, slang, childhood favorites, and more. Whether you’re here to prove you know your stuff or just have a good time with the family, come ready to play, laugh, and maybe argue over a few answers 😂. Also, the winning team will receive a prize 👀. We hope to see everyone there!
