Was Academic Day really a week ago? Our AGS freshmen are settling in now and we're so glad they're here!

Last week, more than 300 incoming freshmen joined us for Academic Day, getting a head start on college life before the semester begins.

Students met faculty, learned what to expect from their programs, discovered resources for success and connected with the people who will help them along the way.

And maybe most importantly? They left feeling a little more ready and a little less anxious about what’s ahead.

Where are our independent, adventurous, calm-under-pressure, perfectionist girlies at? ❤️‍🔥🚁

Meet Soami Ellis — University of Oklahoma Aviation’s newest Certified Flight Instructor!

Soami is the first Professional Helicopter major to complete her Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial and CFI certifications and is the first OU student CFI hired for Semper Fly.

Now, she joins Semper Fly Helicopters/OU Aviation as an instructor while she works toward her CFII.

Student → Pilot → Instructor. We love to see it. Huge congrats, Soami!
