Meet Danujan, a second-year master’s student in the Penn MPGP! Danujan is from Boston, Massachusetts, and earned his bachelor’s degree in physics from Dartmouth College. After completing his master’s degree at Penn, he plans to pursue a radiation therapy physics residency with the goal of becoming a clinical medical physicist.

Danujan’s thesis focuses on establishing a robustness framework for defining clinically acceptable tolerances for proton spatially fractionated radiation therapy (SFRT), with the goal of supporting its potential translation into clinical treatment. 

At Penn, Danujan works as a PSQA assistant, chart rounds assistant, and a teaching assistant for the first-year course Introduction to Radiation Protection. Outside of medical physics, Danujan enjoys traveling and playing tennis competitively for UPenn’s Club Tennis team.

Congratulations to U. Penn Perelman School of Medicine faculty Kevin Boon-Keng Teo, PhD and Grace Jianan Gang, PhD on their induction as Fellows of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine!

Drs. Teo and Gang were recently recognized for their achievements at the AAPM Awards and Honors Ceremony at the 2026 Joint AAPM | COMP Annual Meeting in Vancouver, Canada.

AAPM Fellows must have a minimum of 10 years of Full membership, be nominated by peers, and demonstrate outstanding achievements including dedicated service within AAPM as well as exceptional research and leadership in the education and practice of medical physics.
