Engage. Empower. Eagle Up!
Dear Alumni and friends,
In 1947, Paul J. Siebenmann gathered 32 students at the Goodwill Center on Martin Street in San Antonio. He had a heart for community and a conviction that Hispanic Christian leaders deserved to be trained.
That is where Baptist University of the Américas began.
Today, we carry 79 years of that conviction onto a 53-acre campus with students from more than 25 nations. And today, we are launching something we should have built a long time ago:
The BUA Eagle Network. The 47 Club. www.bua.edu/eagle-network
The Eagle Network is the lifelong community of BUA alumni and friends — a directory, a magazine named CALLED, and a permanent connection to the institution that formed you.
The 47 Club is the giving heart of that community. For $47 a year, you are in.
Your gift goes to the BUA Fund — the annual support that keeps tuition affordable and enables students like Kevin Rodela to answer the call.
Kevin is from the Southside of San Antonio. He is the only Christian in his family of four. He leads chapel prayer every Tuesday. He told us something we have not forgotten:
“Sometimes I do feel like I’m alone — but BUA and the partners around us have shown me that I am not alone in this walk. It takes a village.”
You are part of that village. You always have been. Join 47 Club Today!
