Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia.

This Dementia Action Week, support our researchers at Lancaster University who are working to understand, treat, and ultimately prevent dementia.

Donations will go directly to funding critical research into developing a new treatment designed to dissolve the toxic protein clumps that cause brain cell damage in Alzheimer’s.

Your support can help make a breakthrough possible.

This year’s theme for Mental Health Week is action.

Around 1 in 5 adults in the UK have a common mental health condition, such as anxiety and depression. Due to financial stress, academic pressure and moving away from home, this proportion is significantly higher among students.

Support our students’ wellbeing and take action today by donating to the Lancaster University Opportunity Fund.

Join us in the library for a book launch on May 18th between 12 and 2pm for Lancaster Alumna Christy Theodoulou, a former law student who, in April, published a debut novel 'Godless Cosmologies', a Gothic literary fantasy that blends philosophical reflection with surreal storytelling. Christy will be reading an extract from her book, with an author conversation and Q&A to follow.
