This World Mental Health Month, the Association of Student Educators in Science and Mathematics (ASESMA) joins the celebration of World Mental Health Month 2026, embracing this year’s theme: “Lives Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change.”

Behind every smile is a story, behind every silence is a voice worth listening to, and behind every struggle is a person deserving of understanding and compassion. Let us create spaces where everyone feels safe to speak, free to express their feelings, and valued for who they are.

May we continue to listen without judgment, offer kindness without hesitation, and remind one another that no one has to face their struggles alone. Together, let us break the stigma surrounding mental health and build a community where every voice matters and every experience is acknowledged.

Today, we celebrate the teachers who show up, teach with patience, and make learning a little easier, even on the days when it isn't.

To every teacher, mentor, professor, and educator— thank you for sharing your time, knowledge, and encouragement with your students. The lessons you teach may start inside the classroom, but the impact can stay with us long after we leave it.

To the educators who have guided us, challenged us, believed in us, and helped us grow, 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂. Your work matters, and so do the students whose lives you touch.

Under the guardian wings of Sr. San Miguel, let us gather with joyful hearts and proud spirits. May this day serve as a sacred pause to honor the path behind us, treasure the richness of our shared heritage, and strengthen the bonds of our community.

Though our paths are many, our hearts beat as one Iliganon family—celebrating our unity in diversity across the City of Majestic Waterfalls, Iligan City!

𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 | 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭

One of our fellow crane is going through an incredibly difficult time as her father is currently confined in the hospital and in need of urgent medical care.

According to the family, he needs four (4) bags of B+ blood for transfusion. His laboratory results also show severe kidney dysfunction, and he may need to undergo hemodialysis. With the mounting hospital and medical expenses, the family is now seeking financial assistance to help sustain his treatment.

Behind these medical needs is a family desperately hoping for more time with their loved one. A daughter is hoping that her father will come home. A family is holding on to hope.

Today, we ask our DSME community to stand with them.💚

Whatever happens, remember that getting to this point already took a lot of patience, effort, and determination. Be proud of yourself for making it this far!

A crane belongs in the air—and our athletes showed us exactly why!

A huge congratulations to our DSME Cranes who proudly represented the Department of Science and Mathematics Education and MSU-IIT at the MSUSAA Unity Games 2026!

With MSU-IIT emerging as the overall champion with an incredible 116 gold, 41 silver, and 29 bronze medals, every athlete who stepped up and competed became part of this remarkable achievement.

Whether you brought home a medal or simply gave everything you had, every effort, every challenge, and every moment on the playing field was worth celebrating!

We are so proud of every one of you. Keep your wings strong, keep reaching higher, and keep moving forward!
