What an incredible day celebrating the launch of “Zippy’s Money Mission” with the amazing 4th graders at Forest CLC in Akron! 🎉📚

So many smiles and hands-on fun as students explored smart money habits together. Every student walked away with a free copy of the book and plenty of goodies to go with it!

A huge thank you to our special guests: Zippy (2027 Capital One Mascot of the Year 🏆), our mystery reader Dr. Lynn Kline, and illustrator Jason Jay for making the day unforgettable. 💙💛 Zippy’s Money Mission has launched and is now available on Amazon and select book stores.

We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Free Enterprise Teaching Fellows program. This professional development opportunity is designed for grades 7–12 teachers across all subject areas, as well as teacher education faculty, who are interested in strengthening their ability to teach the principles of free market capitalism.

Selected fellows will participate in a series of fall workshops while receiving mentorship and coaching, access to high-quality instructional materials, and a $1,000 stipend upon completion. Participants will also earn a certificate for contact hours.

Workshops will be held on select dates from September through December, and the application deadline is July 31, 2026.

What a night!

Thank you to the 100+ NE Ohio educators and community members who joined us for our 2026 Celebration of Financial Literacy Month at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus, hosted by the Cleveland Browns.

After 6 months of planning alongside an incredible team of 20 University of Akron student volunteers, it was amazing to see everything come to life. Our “Financial Literacy Combine” was a hit, engaging participants in hands-on activities focused on budgeting, investing, credit building, and free enterprise.
