In May, we launched our Rural Care Collective video series in honor of Mental Health Awareness month. We just posted another video to our YouTube channel!

In this episode, we explore mandatory reporting responsibilities in Tennessee including how to report child abuse, navigate difficult disclosure situations, and maintain professionalism and self-care while working in this challenging field.

We had the privilege to work with two amazing ladies who have dedicated their lives to serving their communities--Lori Harris Hammond, Rapid Rehousing Case Manager, Partnership for Families, Children and Adults and Linda Elligan, Director of Clinical and Advocacy Programs, Children's Advocacy Center (Chattanooga).

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Professional Studies B-HIP Grant Traineeship Program awardees for the 2026/2027 academic year are in review!

🤔Who will be selected?

👉 Awardees will receive their notification emails on Monday, May 4.
👉 Letters of agreement are due by Friday, May 8.

If you are a behavioral health graduate level student about to enter your internship/placement year, you should apply for The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga School of Professional Studies B-HIP Traineeship Program.

The B-HIP program provides a $25,000 stipend to help students get through their internship year.

Goal: Expand and strengthen the behavioral health workforce in the underserved Appalachian region of southeast Tennessee.

🔹Clinical Mental Health Counseling
