The Youth Alcohol and Drug Education Program recently conducted an auditorium presentation at Vancleave High School focused on the dangers of alcohol- and drug-impaired driving. This presentation aimed to raise awareness among students about the serious consequences of impaired driving.

This program emphasizes the importance of why staying sober while driving is essential for keeping yourself and your community safe.

The Youth Alcohol and Drug Education Program set up an interactive lunch booth at Humphreys County High School to educate students about the dangers and consequences of both drug and alcohol-impaired driving. During the event, students received informative infographics highlighting real-life impacts and statistics, and they also had the chance to experience both “drunk glasses" and the "opioid goggles,” which simulate the effects of impairment and demonstrate how alcohol and drugs can drastically affect coordination and judgment.
