🚔 DUIs Aren’t Just About Alcohol 🚔

Many people are surprised to learn that a DUI can result from driving under the influence of any substance that impairs your ability to operate a vehicle safely—not just alcohol. This includes illegal drugs, prescription medications, over-the-counter medicines, and even certain legal substances if they affect your judgment, reaction time, coordination, or alertness.

Before getting behind the wheel, always know how a substance may affect you. A poor decision can lead to serious consequences, including injuries, loss of life, criminal charges, fines, license suspension, and a permanent impact on your future.

If you’re impaired, don’t drive. Arrange a ride, use a rideshare service, call a friend, or wait until you are completely sober and alert.

Drive responsibly. Protect yourself, your passengers, and everyone else on the road.

Never drive while impaired! One bad decision can change lives forever. Don’t drink and drive. Impaired driving slows reaction time, clouds judgment, and puts everyone on the road at risk. Plan ahead, get a ride, and make it home safely. 🚫🍺🚗
