This week, we hosted an impaired driving prevention booth during the lunch periods at West Harrison High School. Students had the opportunity to experience both “drunk and Opioid goggles,” which simulate the visual and coordination impairments caused by alcohol and opioid overdose. This hands-on activity helped them better understand how substance use affects reaction time, depth perception, and overall driving ability.

In addition to the interactive demonstration, we provided a wide range of educational materials about the risks and consequences of alcohol- and drug-impaired driving. Our goal was to give students meaningful, real-world insight into the dangers of driving under the influence and empower them to make safe, responsible decisions behind the wheel.
