Master of Science students in the Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) department marked Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Awareness Month, celebrated every October, the best way they could - by having their own AAC Awareness Day on Drexel University’s Elkins Park Campus.

As part of the Pediatric Audiologic Assessment course, second-year Osborne Audiology students practice not only pediatric assessment techniques but also case history interviews and counseling with parents and caregivers. Working with real families introduces the natural variability and unpredictability of pediatric care, helping students strengthen their clinical skills, adaptability, and confidence while receiving immediate faculty feedback.

Our physician assistant students gain hands on experience from day one 💪🏽🩺

Recently, they spent time in the clinical skills lab practicing IV insertions on manikin arms developing the techniques and confidence needed for patient care.
