Two sponsored projects led by researchers in the Entomology Department were recently featured on PBS’ Prairie Sportsman series.

Tune into Season 17, Episode 9: Hen Houses and Insect Surveys (link in bio) to watch Drs Cristian Beza-Beza and Benjamin Cull talk about their projects updating the state’s biodiversity data through entomological surveys across Minnesota. Their work is supported by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).

Join us for "Bark, beetles, and beyond: Sixteen years of adventure at the University of Minnesota" from Dr. Brian Aukema 🌳🪲!

The University of Minnesota has enjoyed a research, teaching, and outreach program in forest insect science since 1921, stewarded by Brian Aukema for the past 16 years.

In this exit seminar, he will share ten random vignettes from across his outreach, research, and teaching experiences, spanning the spectrum from serious to silly to sublime.

These stories will highlight his appreciation for a community that has helped launch many students now making their marks here and around the world.
