Investing in students today helps shape the leaders, professionals and changemakers of tomorrow.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio sophomore and women's basketball student-athlete Jah'Dae Bussey recently received a scholarship from the Community for Life Foundation, helping support her educational journey and future goals. The foundation is led by Dr. Lawrence Scott, associate professor of educational leadership at Texas A&M University-San Antonio and executive director of Community for Life.

Today students had the chance to meet Scout during Come Meet Scout in the CAB Lobby.

As our victim assistance dog, Scout is trained to comfort crime victims and witnesses and help reduce stress during difficult moments. Her presence can help create a more comfortable environment for those seeking support.

When she’s not working, Scout enjoys training, greeting everyone in the office, chasing her sisters, car rides and plenty of treats and naps.

Each golf ball is assigned a number and dropped from a helicopter over the Golf Club of Texas during the Jaguar Classic. The ball that lands closest to the hole wins!

A&M-San Antonio, H-E-B and Mars are teaming up to help Jaguars start the semester strong.

H-E-B and Mars employees volunteered their time to pack bags of shelf-stable food for students attending the Penny Social. Mars also donated RXBARs and presented a $5,000 gift to The General’s Store, the University’s on-campus food pantry.

The donation will help replenish the pantry’s inventory and ensure students have access to groceries, hygiene products and other essentials throughout the academic year.

We’re grateful to H-E-B and Mars for investing in our students and helping make sure Jaguars have the resources they need to focus on their education and reach their goals. Read more: https://ow.ly/psYB50ZFpgS
