Texas A&M University-San Antonio is expanding opportunities for students in STEM through a new partnership with Toyota Motor North America. A $25,000 gift from Toyota will support the development of a new high-tech laboratory for the University’s Electronic Systems Engineering Technology program, helping prepare students for careers in manufacturing, energy, avionics and more.

A week later and we’re still not over Commencement.
 
Our Jag grads turned the spotlight back on the people who helped them get here by surprising their loved ones with heartfelt thank-you letters during the ceremony. Safe to say there were a lot of tears, hugs and Jaguar pride in the room.

Texas A&M University-San Antonio will be closed Friday, May 22, and Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day.

Normal campus operations will resume Tuesday, May 26.

Dr. Berenice de la Cruz, assistant professor and coordinator of the Applied Behavior Analysis Program at Texas A&M University-San Antonio, has been recognized with the inaugural Behavior Analysis Trailblazer in Texas Award.

The honor recognizes her leadership in expanding culturally responsive care, bilingual training and access to autism services for underserved communities across Texas and internationally.

Since launching the University’s ABA program in 2022, de la Cruz has helped prepare students to meet the growing demand for behavior analysis services while serving communities across South San Antonio and beyond.
