Our offerings begin in the first year and are strategically designed to guide students through an individualized career development process. The commitment and efforts of our staff in working with students and employers are confirmed by annual graduation surveys that reflect consistently high levels of employment and graduate school acceptances. HIRE Education: The HIRE Education career action plan is our four-stage, four-year targeted approach to help you identify and achieve your career goal. Our NACE award winning CDI course suite (CDI 101, 201 and 301) consists of career development courses at every level of a student’s experience at Bentley. CDI courses allow students to develop effective job search materials, assess their interests and strengths as they relate to their career goals, develop and refine critical job search skills, and connect with alumni and employers, all of which leads to satisfying and successful full-time employment. Coaching: Experienced career coaches work closely with students within dedicated majors and career communities. Our dedicated career coaches possess an in-depth knowledge of career resources, assessment tools, and alumni in relevant fields. They also offer insight into employers, functional roles, recruiting timelines and requirements, and employer expectations to assist and prepare students as they navigate the job search process. Coaches are available for individual coaching appointments and during open drop in hours throughout the year to assist students with all of their job search needs. Our commitment to student career success begins upon arrival first year and continues through graduation and beyond. Bentley is one of very few institutions that offer dedicated alumni career services for life at no charge. Whether you are a first-time visitor to the office or an advanced job seeker, you are strongly encouraged to schedule an appointment with a career coach through Handshake. On-line Resources: Whether you need resume or cover letter guidance, information on interviewing and networking or advice about how to conduct an out-of-state or global job search, we have a wide array of materials and resources available 24/7 on the Undergraduate Career Development website, CareerEdge (bentley.careeredge.edu) and on Handshake. Recruiting: Our seasoned Employer Relations & Recruiting team has developed deep and long-lasting relationships with hundreds of employers who visit campus each semester to interview Bentley students. These employers also participate in numerous career education programs and workshops to build brand awareness among students. Additionally, more than 140 employers attend each of Bentley’s fall and spring career fairs, where they recruit and network with students and promote their internship and post-graduate job opportunities for all majors. These large-scale events provide students with excellent opportunities to connect with a variety of top employers. Our full-service recruiting program is robust and operates 12 months a year to meet the needs of both students and employers. Students have 24/7 on-line access to 2000+ full-time and internship positions and many companies interview on campus. Before accessing Handshake, (the recruiting platform), students are strongly encouraged to familiarize themselves with Bentley’s recruiting policies and interview preparation tips. Programs & Events: The Pulsifer Career Development Center delivers a comprehensive suite of 100+ programs, panels, workshops and information sessions each academic year. These career programs are designed by career coaches and involve alumni and employers who impart career advice and who share knowledge of corporate culture, functions, companies, industries and career paths. They also provide a valuable opportunity for students to apply their skills and to network with alumni and employer representatives. Career preparation is accelerated as a result of this high level of interaction between students and employer representatives.
