We specialise in Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy for children aged 0-18 years, and pride ourselves on being a family centred practice.

OT Week: A Day in the Life of an OT!

Think being an OT is all games and fun? Well… you are not entirely wrong! 😂🙌

From obstacle courses and messy play to problem-solving, getting creative, celebrating the little wins (and sometimes thinking on our feet!), no two days are ever the same for our OTs!

Behind all the fun is a whole lot of skill, creativity and dedication to helping kids build confidence, develop new skills and become more independent.

💙 Happy OT Week! 💙

It’s Occupational Therapy Week, and we are taking the opportunity to celebrate our amazing Occupational Therapists here at Capable Kids South Coast!

But what exactly does an OT do?

Our OTs support children to develop the skills they need for everyday life, helping them build confidence, independence and participation in the things that matter most to them. This might include fine motor skills, sensory processing, emotional regulation, daily routines, self-care, play, and so much more!

We love our OTs because they see the potential in every child, celebrate the little wins (that are often BIG wins!), think outside the box and find creative ways to help children thrive.

This week, we will be sharing a little more about our wonderful OT team, what their days look like and why they chose this amazing profession.

So, to kick things off, meet our incredible OTs! We are so lucky to have you as part of our team 🫶
