It's meet week!! The Warriors open the 2026 cross country season this Saturday, co-hosting the Tommy Titan vs. W the Warrior Classic at Cass Benton Park. Info at link below -- hope to see you there, Warrior fans!

DETROIT (8/31/2026) -- For the first time since 2022, the great Tommy Titan will be putting on his running shoes as the Tommy Titan Vs. W The Warrior Cross Country Classic returns to Cass Benton Park on Sept. 12.

Our traditional full-team community service kickoff was a big success! We helped make the Michigan Triathlon/Duathlon Championships go, and enjoyed a beautiful morning on Belle Isle on Sunday.

The Warrior women are tied-for-3rd in the GLIAC preseason poll, and we intend to exceed expectations!

DETROIT -- Just like in 2025, the Wayne State University women's cross country team was picked to finish third in this year's GLIAC Preseason Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday afternoon, sharing the spot with Saginaw Valley State.

DETROIT -- For the second year in a row, the Wayne State University mens's cross country team was picked to finish fourth out of 10 schools in the 2026 GLIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll on Wednesday afternoon.
