Remembering and celebrating our loved ones who have passed. 🧡

Día de los Mu***os is a treasured celebration originating in Mexico that coincides with the Solemnity of All Saints (Nov. 1) and the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (Nov. 2). Families create altars—ofrendas—to remember and celebrate the lives of deceased loved ones. This is a time of rejoicing in the living memory of the deceased and finding hope in the promise of eternal life.

We invite you to join FaithND’s digital ofrenda by sharing the name(s) of deceased loved ones along with a photo or cherished memory.

Together, as a community, we remember, rejoice, and hope. 🙏

NOTE: Despite being on the edge of an evacuation zone due to the Norte Fire in San Juan Capistrano, as of now, San Juan Hills Sports Bar & Grill is OPEN and our Game Watch there WILL be happening as long as that remains the status.

Your usual route to SJH may be affected by road closures due to the fire, so allow yourself extra time and be prepared for delays and detours. We recommend you call SJH at (949) 240-1919 to confirm that they will be open before you head out for the Game Watch.

Our second Game Watch location at The Huntington Club is unaffected by the fires.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by the fires and to the first responders who are working to contain them.

Tuesday night’s Hesburgh Lecture and pre-lecture social (sponsored by ND Women Connect • Orange County and ND Professionals) was a smashing success! Almost 60 guests and very interesting insider stories from Professor Garnett’s time clerking for Chief Justice Rehnquist, followed by excellent conversation in the Q/A as well.

Thank you to Sarah for leading the NDCOC efforts in coordinating the evening, and to board members Michelle, Ed, and Tony, and to Steffanie at Servite for all of their assistance.
