Hello everyone! My name is Lauren Indira Campbell, and I’m excited to declare my candidacy for Chief Operations Officer of GSLMU for the 2026-27 academic year. While I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in Computer Science, I will be staying
on the Bluff for one final year through LMU’s Accelerated Master’s Program. As a continuing student, I care deeply about this institution and have loved being a part of various organizations that make our experiences even more meaningful. Serving as part of GSLMU would be an honor, and in my new position as a graduate student, a natural
next step to continue to give back to a school and community that has given so much to me.
Over the past few years, I have held leadership roles with responsibilities that closely align with the Chief Operations Officer. This year, I have served as the President of the Student Honors Advisory Council and Programming Chair for the Association of Computing Machinery where I was responsible for coordinating meetings and events, communicating with board members and faculty advisors, and ensuring that various
aspects of internal operations ran smoothly. Just this month, I was responsible for hosting ACM’s annual hackathon which required several weeks of budget planning, tracking registration forms, and coordinating the logistics for the day of the event, which are skills that I am certain would be transferrable to the COO role.
I genuinely enjoy the logistics and operations side of student leadership, and if elected as Chief Operations Officer, I hope to support the work of the Executive Board to the best of my abilities. I want to do my part in advocating for the student body, strengthening community connections, and fostering opportunities for continued academic, professional, and social growth and connections.
I’m very excited to extend my time here at LMU, and I would love if serving on the GSLMU E-Board was a part of it.
