We offer graduate programs in naturopathic medicine, classical Chinese medicine, nutrition, integrative medicine research, and global health. In addition, we offer bachelor completion degrees in nutrition and integrative health sciences, with several online learning options. Our natural medicine clinics and Helfgott Research Institute play an important role in both providing primary care for the community and advancing natural medicine; both are central to the student experience. Still thinking about this moment. 🥼💚

Our 2026 White Coat Ceremony was already a meaningful milestone for our newest Naturopathic Doctor students, but this year carried something extra: it was the first White Coat Ceremony held in our new home.

For these students, receiving their white coats marked the beginning of a journey filled with learning, growth, responsibility, and eventually, the privilege of caring for patients.

Surrounded by classmates, faculty, family, and friends, our newest students stepped into this next chapter together and made a promise they’ll carry with them all the way to graduation.

A first in our new home. A milestone they’ll never forget. 🤍

NUNM’s first White Coat Ceremony in our new campus marked a proud and pivotal moment for our Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine students as they prepare to begin the clinical phase of their education.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty and classmates, each student stepped forward to receive their white coat, a symbol of the responsibility, compassion and commitment they will carry into this next chapter.

A heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Melanie Henriksen, Dr. Elizabeth Goodson, Dr. Dee Saunders, Dr. Sheryl Estlund and Dr. Emma Neiworth-Petshow for sharing such moving and inspiring words.

And to the faculty, staff and volunteers who brought this meaningful celebration to life, thank you for helping us make NUNM history.

Congratulations to our newly coated students! We are so proud of you and cannot wait to see where your journey takes you. 🎉👏

A life of curiosity, compassion, and service. 💚

The NUNM community is deeply saddened by the passing of Regina Dehen, ND (’96), MAcOM, a gifted physician, educator, researcher, mentor, and advocate.

Dr. Dehen dedicated her life to healing, learning, and making healthcare better. Her influence lives on in the students she inspired, the patients she cared for, the colleagues she encouraged, and the professions she helped move forward.

She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will remain woven into the fabric of NUNM for generations to come.

🌏 This is what Global Health looks like at NUNM. 🇨🇳

Our students are back home after an unforgettable two-week Global Health Experience in China, and we’re looking back at just some of what they experienced along the way!

At Beijing University of Chinese Medicine’s Dongfang Hospital, students stepped directly into clinical learning, observing care across oncology, acupuncture, pediatrics and peripheral vascular disease, and seeing firsthand how Chinese medicine is practiced within a modern hospital setting.

Of course, learning abroad is about more than what happens inside the clinic. From experiencing everyday life in Beijing, to receiving certificates marking their time at Dongfang Hospital, students had the opportunity to learn through a completely different cultural and healthcare lens.
