Alejandro 🇭🇳 had this to say about his dairy experience in Michigan: "It will help me apply the knowledge in my country so I can improve production and help people with their animals. I am glad to have completed this internship. I learned a lot about animals and, most importantly, to never give up." Thanks for doing a great job. Good luck to you in the future, Alejandro! 🐮

Tiago and Octavio from Argentina will spend the season learning about cropping and agrotourism in Minnesota. Their favorite part about their experience so far: "The nice people." Placed with great, long-time hosts, Sever and Sharon, that is no surprise! 🇦🇷

Let's hear it for 2nd generation MAST trainees! Archie 🇦🇺 is just finishing the study period portion of his program- just like his mom, Dom, and dad, Cam, did in 1997. Archie and Dom both did their practical training in Montana, and Cam was in South Dakota. Dom and Cam MAY have participated in a few shenanigans while they were on the program...much like Archie and his mate, Beau, did during their adventures out West. 😇 We're proud that MAST is a part of this Australian family heritage!

Swine trainee, Ivan Ricardo 🇧🇷, had this to say about his experience: "This year has contributed greatly to both my professional and personal growth. I gained extensive experience, learned a great deal, and was also able to accomplish some personal goals. Did you know MAST is only a few years older than Goldy Gopher? Goldy officially became the University of Minnesota’s mascot in 1952—and we’re glad he’s been part of the tradition ever since!

We've reached the happy and sad times of the semester: celebrating the knowledge gained, personal growth, and professional connections, but also the tough goodbyes to a lot of new friends from around the world. We so enjoy seeing those friendships form and watching/hearing about the crazy stories that will be remembered forever within these special study groups. Congratulations Everyone- we're proud of you! 🎓
