A WONDERFUL EVENT AT MESA COLLEGE!

Today, we had the pleasure of sharing NEON CHICHA: COUNTER-AESTHETICS FROM PERUVIAN POPULAR ART with our classes!

A heartfelt thank-you to Alfredo Villar for his engaging presentation on contemporary Peruvian pop art and to legendary Chicha artist Pedro “Monky” Rojas for joining us in a conversation exploring the cultural and political significance of Chicha art. We also extend our gratitude to the House of Peru, founded in 2004 and a member of the House of Pacific Relations in Balboa Park, San Diego, California, for helping make this possible.
