Ballet, fitness and choreography sessions for anyone of any dance level Welcome to the Ballet Society! Members get £1 off all prices listed above.

We're a society, that has been growing since our start in 2011. We hold weekly ballet classes with our professional teacher - both for beginners and advanced - so whether you have never ballet danced a day in your life or you've been dancing for years (or somewhere in between!) we have a class for you. We also hold fitness/flexibility classes that are open to everyone! They're fun and an easy way

to maintain/improve fitness, core strength and flexibility. Classes take place on campus, class times are:
Ballet Beginners Tuesday 6-6:50pm
Ballet Advanced Tuesday 6:55-7:45pm
Fitness Thursday 8-10pm

The prices of our classes are:
Ballet Classes - £4 for non-members per session, £6 for both beginner and advanced class. Fitness Classes - £1

Membership is £5 for the year and members can join at any point during the year.

For our social this week we'll be meeting to watch another ballet together! This is always a chill night and a great chance to expand your knowledge of repertoire if you've never watched one before. The specific ballet we watch will be voted on later in the week so keep an eye out and hope to see you there!!

Exams are unfortunately on the horizon but that doesn't mean everything has to be stressful. Join us for a chill study session this Wednesday in County Main (location subject to change). Bring some work, some revision, and even some snacks and come have a peaceful, productive afternoon with friends 🌟🩷

Here’s our class timetable for summer term! 🩰☀️
Our tuesday classes are taught by external ballet teachers, who will go through absolute basics for beginners and teach classic combinations to those with more experience!
Our choreography classes are taught by our exec!
Fitness classes include a ballet inspired workout and stretching session, perfect for working on your flexibility and strength!
And finally, our repertoire classes will include learning classical variations!

We’ve loved running the society this year, hosting events and classes, meeting so many of you and of course learning more ballet. We hope you’ve enjoyed this year just as much as us !

What? On Tuesday we will be hosting a short combined ability class( 6:00pm - 7:25pm), as we’re doing Hustings a little differently this year and holding an AGM! This will include going over a recap of the year, some society statistics, going over society feedback and the constitution, and finally voting for our 2026/27 exec! In the mean time, if you’d like to run for exec or are considering it, let us know! And please fill out our feedback form ^ We would love to see as many people as possible come along :)

When? 12th March, 6:00-8:00pm

What? We have no rehearsals, so we thought we’d host a barre/pointe class, photographed by Fashion Soc! The vibe is Ballet Core, make sure to bring a Black Leotard and if you’d like to change into a more colourful one halfway through then feel free! Tights, legwarmers, warm ups, lace and ribbon>>
If you’re on pointe feel free to bring them! No worries if you’re not, please join in anyway! 🩰🩰🩰
