Today is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of our newest Alumni! What a great day for VCT graduates and for our faculty! Graduation started in the assembly area where we prepare for the ceremony. Look at those smiles - peer students sharing their joy of achievement! On a very sad, sad note - One of our VCT alumni, A.J. Rinaldi, 40, passed last night from cancer surrounded by his family and close friends at home. His wife Bailie Ann posted a video on Facebook, about AJ and his long fight against cancer. No arrangements posted yet. Please keep the Rinaldi family in your thoughts as they grieve of the loss of AJ, a father and husband. Bailie and AJ met in VCT. Our deepest condolences.

This semester VCT participated in the Dean's Design Day for the College. Our students did a great job presenting work from our Intro to Design, Research in VCT, and Synthesis courses! We have some of the most interesting, technical, and creative students that know how to problem-solve! The tradition of VCT carries on! 🫵 Congrats to our students on another successful year. 👊👏

Wow! What a great VCTO Alumni & Faculty Potluck. Thank you to the VCTO officers and current students, the faculty/staff, and to the VCT alumni that made their way back! After the awesome meal, the alumni gave current students valued advice about interviewing, persistence, and the importance of Co-op! Then the officers gave a presentation about the year's activities. A tour of the addition to the building and the VCT Lab followed.

Jack, Louise, LaTanza, Zack, and Sam - what a great job as officers showing dedication to your organization and the VCT program. Our VCT faculty, Laney, Maggie, Beth, Chuck, and Donna showed their support for VCTO!

THANK YOU for your generous support of VCT during One Day! It was so humbling to see the support from our VCT Alumni and Friends. We don't really know the gift totals, but we will for sure share what we do with the funds to enhance the student experience and updating the visual media in the VCT Lab.

An open invitation was just sent out to the Technology Engineering Innovation Center Ribbon-Cutting to be held on Thursday, April 30 @ 2:00pm. We did not get any details if the VCT lab will be opened at that time, but we will post more when we get the scoop.

Just 4 more weeks of classes and then finals week to go! Graduation is on May 2nd. Lots to do in the last 4 weeks, but it is exciting to wrap up another productive semester in VCT! Thank you!

But there is still time for you to donate to the VCT Advancement. We really need your support, no matter how small or large! As many of you know, to make our spaces reflect who we are, having monitors, a video wall, special equipment, a mural, display case for student work, and an upgrade to our Wall of Fame is essential. From the beginning of VCT in 1973, our students and program have been very unique and have some pretty awesome alumni! Many of us had Gene Poor, Chuck Spontelli and Barry Piersol and other faculty. We continue the strong tradition of having student-centered faculty including Laney Fugett, Maggie Leonard, Beth Vollmar, Donna Trautman, and adjuncts Karen Black, Pat Lisk, Jake Collins.
From rubylith, blue pencils and film to now AI, Adobe, and all things digital, we are ever evolving and relevant. Our lab spaces needed an upgrade, and this is happening now! So, any amount you can re-invest in VCT, we would greatly appreciate it! The challenge from alumni Alan Fenner is a great example of alumni investing in the future of VCT!
