🎓 RT Student Highlight: Lawson Floyd!

Congratulations to Lawson Floyd, a recent August 2026 CURT graduate! Lawson completed his summer internship at Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital in Conway, SC, where he facilitated recreational therapy groups focused on stress coping, self-esteem, and social skills.

Huge thanks to Mrs. Taylor Windell, MS, CCLS for speaking with our PRTM 2600: Foundations of Recreational Therapy class! Taylor is the Manager of Child Life and Special Programs at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate in Greenville, SC. She gave our CURT students an engaging introduction to the Child Life profession—breaking down the role of Child Life Specialists within multidisciplinary teams and the impact they have in supporting hospitalized children and their families.
