✨ Adjunct Spotlight: Hannah Dyer, BSN, RN ✨
Meet Hannah Dyer, BSN, RN, who teaches NUR 201: Care of the Adults I for the University of Maine School of Nursing.
Hannah’s path to nursing began while working as an activities assistant at a local retirement community while pursuing an English degree. Through that experience, she discovered a passion for holistic, patient-centered care and ultimately added Nursing as a second major, graduating from UMaine in 2022.
What Hannah loves most about nursing is the opportunity for continual growth, critical thinking, teamwork, and caring for vulnerable patients. Since graduating, she has worked as an Emergency Department nurse at a Level II Regional Trauma Center and returned to UMaine in 2024 to pursue her Family Nurse Practitioner degree.
As a lifelong Mainer and proud UMaine alumna, Hannah chose to teach because she wanted to give back to the program that helped shape her into the nurse and future advanced practice provider she is today. She is currently in her first semester teaching clinicals and says she has loved every second of it.
When she’s not working, learning, or teaching, Hannah enjoys spending time near the water, reading, with her dog Layla and making memories with her family.
Thank you, Hannah, for your dedication to nursing education and for inspiring the next generation of nurses! 💙🐻
